Lovely choice of photos, who was the final portrait by and when?

Thank you so much! That beautiful portrait was shot by the iconic fashion photographer, Victor Skrebneski, in 1952. Sorry for not including credits in the post – I usually credit all photos that are not mine – but this was the one instance I didn’t want any words littering the images!

Hi, thank you for that. I can understand your sentiments, but without the photographers and the context of time, there would be no images, and it is very nice to be grateful to the bringers of that which inspires, even if they are no longer with us, but so very, very nice to be inspired by your own passion. Thank you 🙂

Absolutely agree! You know what? I’ll collect all available data and include them here, in the comments section – that way info will be accessible without interfering with the photo story. And, by the way, I found two more dates concerning the photo in question: by some accounts it was shot in 1982 (Museum of Lace and Fashion in Calais, France) or in 1975 (Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago)!
