Mrs. Mallard with Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack, are out for a walk in the park. Dressed in their springly attire, daring the sun to come out (but – wisely – keeping their woolen shawls on, just in case it wouldn’t).

Me too! And their woolen shawls! Hats off to the beautiful person(s) who dress the ducklings and make them even more adorable!

I love this sculpture! and wasn’t aware of it – one of my favorite childhood books –

For me it was the other way round – first I discovered the sculpture, then the book and the lovely illustrations by Robert McCloskey! One never stops learning 🙂

Oh I love this. I’m not familiar with Robert McCloskey, but it reminds me of the characters by Beatrix Potter. 🙂

I’m not familiar either, just getting to know Robert McCloskey’s work. I find his illustrations more realistic, his black & white lines strong and greatly detailed compared to those of Beatrix Potter’s, with her colourful, feathery strokes and dreamlike quality.
