Turning to leave from the area, toward our way back to the train station, the feature we’d been looking for. Hidden among buildings and utility poles, once Atlantic City’s tallest structure, no longer a beacon for mariners. Lonely, lean and silently dignified.

I pass that lighthouse whenever we take the city throughout AC. It’s so intriguing, standing there in the middle of a city!

The original title of this post was ”The Lighthouse in the middle of the city”… then I settled with the current one – it’s such an unexpected sight as it stands there among houses and car traffic! Weird!
